I confess that I have never written a blog. The photo of our latest project is also the tallest log structure built by myself in my 33 year career. This building is a 19′ tall dovetail log structure with full 10″ thick exterior white pine logs planed both inside and out.
This home was crafted over a 10 month period resulting in some of the logs greying due to ultra violet rays from the sun. Surface greying is quite common and cleans up readily with quality log cleaning products.
The home will sit high among the hills of central WV and is scheduled to be delivered shortly.
That is one big structure! Wish it was going to my property! lol

Jim, Yes and it was several trailer loads and thankfully the weather was grand for the house move.
I will be posting new pictures shortly with the timber roof installed and then the final pictures with the wrap around porch installed. We have to wait for the them to wash the building and install the chinking before we install the ledger board.
